Lung Boards

The Orfit High Precision Lung Board has a unique and innovative feature with its T-shaped hand grip that is adjustable in height. This feature increases patient comfort and positioning reproducibility. The arms can be easily extended above the head for treatments in the thorax and lung area.

The hand grip can be moved in inferior and superior direction and locks once in place. The lung board can be combined with the standard Orfit High Precision Head Supports with cranial stop.

Breast Radiotherapy

The MammoRx Breast Board allows you to easily immobilise patients in a comfortable and reproducible way. The carbon fibre system meets and exceeds changing needs of radiation therapists. It is thin, strong and light and features lower attenuation levels.

As one of the most lightweight boards on the market, the MammoRx Breast Board is easy to lift and replace on the treatment table – a key benefit when you consider how often therapists remove patient positioning boards each day.

Systems

Breast Board - The breast board delivers precise immobilisation for IMRT, enhanced set-up reproducibility and is compatible with Orfit thermoplastic masks.

Inclination System - The built-in angle supports are positioned in a more superior direction to offer a more stable inclination system. The angle support can be easily switched by a single-handed trigger action.

Bottom Stop - To increase patient comfort, the bottom stop has been enlarged. Both the upper and lower legs are supported, preventing the creation of a pressure point at the buttocks.

Arm, Hand & Head Supports - The standard Orfit arm- and hand supports as well as various types of head supports such as the standard Orfit High Precision Head Support still fit the newly designed MammoRx Breast Board. The arm supports can easily be moved between eight settings. The hand support can now be indexed in ten instead of five indexing holes which will even allow you to position the patient in a more comfortable and stable way. Other beneficial features like a metal free CT scan area and compatibility with the most small-bore CT environments are maintained.

MRI Compatible Products

Orfit has expanded its range of MRI compatible immobilisation devices to allow a reproducible set-up for each patient, both during simulation and treatment. The devices can be used in the MRI scanner and on the MRI Linac.

The product range contains head and neck base plates for the most common MRI scanners in the market: Siemens, Philips and GE. They allow the set-up of the coils in the most optimal position to obtain a good image quality.

Patients that undergo proton therapy for brain and head & neck can now also be scanned in the MRI in their treatment position with the HP PRO MR safe base plate.

For breast and lung patients we offer an MR safe version of the MammoRx Breast Board and the High Precision Lung Board. For treatments in the pelvis region either the SBRT Solution or Pelvicast can be used.
